Chartered accountant were the
first accountant in 1854, firstly established in 1854. Chartered accountants
are highly qualified professionals with a degree and workplace experience. Chartered
accountants work in all business fields including finance, audit, taxation and
management. In many countries the degree is known as chartered accountant like
Australia, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Canada, Europe, India, Nepal, Ireland, New
Zeland, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom etc.
In Pakistan “The Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP)” was established on July 1, 1961 in
the field of accountancy and auditing.
