Administrator (Education and Learning)

Position: Education and Learning Administrator
Location: Westminster, London
Salary: £18,800 per annum
Hours: 36.25 hours per week

ROLE:
The Education and Learning Administrator ensures that activities concerning membership and the educational base for membership and student /graduate membership are managed effectively to support the work of the Education and Learning Team and contribute to forecasting membership trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Deals promptly with all queries relating to membership, the educational base for membership and student/graduate membership.
b) Communication and provision of advice on routes to membership to students, graduates and prospective members.
c) Reports on and analyses student membership trends.
d) Consults and reports on student to graduate transfer issues in order to make suggestions for further action as appropriate.
e) Liaises with and supports Regional Support Teams on all matters pertaining to student and graduate membership.
f) Process Graduate Membership applications.
g) Data entry, maintaining accurate member records, updating membership and accreditation databases and advising on eligibility of qualifications.
h) All administration and activities in support of graduate membership and decisions regarding extension of student membership or transfer to graduate status and related academic assessment issues.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
b) Ability to use MSWord and a willingness to undertake training to use database applications and other relevant internal and external data sources.
d) Efficiently prioritises own work and seeks guidance when priorities conflict.
e) Carefully checks information for accuracy and consistency and highlights any anomalies for action.
f) Listens carefully to enquiries and asks questions to clarify the main points and the urgency of the enquiry.
g) Records telephone messages accurately and deals with, or passes on, messages promptly.
h) Some experience of working in an office environment as part of a team.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Ability to use MS Excel and Outlook, or willingness to undertake training, is desirable.
b) Experience with databases and customer services desirable.
c) Knowledge of the FE and HE Sectors desirable but not essential.
