Head of Further Education
North Lincolnshire/South Yorkshire
Head of Further Education required, to oversee the implementation of a new venture in providing, Training requirements for both Information Technology, Media/Graphics and Aircraft Maintenance to a minimum of BTEC/City and Guilds Level 3 in the North Lincolnshire/South Yorkshire locality.
You will play a key role as an advocate for students, providing advice, guidance and support to ensure the students achieve and develop employability skills to ensure successful progression in their chosen field
This exciting role calls for an inspirational leader, who has a passion for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience whilst studying at the academy. You will have experience in, and a dedication to grow the provision of higher education coupled with the ability to lead others with energy and enthusiasm to create an environment where people feel motivated.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, with significant recent managerial experience who is able to build positive working relationships with staff at all levels with ease. You will possess the ability to contribute to the strategic development of the academy.
The opportunity to provide input into the innovation of the business, with the aim of achieving excellence in learning and business operations, should motivate you, as it will be your role to communicate our excellence to staff, students and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level as a minimum, with excellent communication, delegation and organisational skills. You will have a good understanding of the current Further Education and Higher Education funding methodologies and quality assurance regimes and a detailed understanding of current and future strategic issues which will impact upon further and higher education and training.
Understanding of current Information Technology and /or Aircraft Maintenance
practices would be advantageous but not essential.
You will be able to demonstrate strong performance in a student or customer service activity, excellent project management skills and the ability to successfully embrace new areas of work.
