Household Claims Handler


Household Claims Handler, Essex. Up to £22,000 plus benefits.


Working for one of the largest and fastest growing UK insurance brokers, you'll be required to handle your own portfolio of home claims.
My client is looking for individuals who have previous claims experience preferably handling household cases.


Within this role you will be required to provide an effective and efficient claims service to customers.
Dealing effectively with all claims which are allocated to you and the team, ensuring that company procedures and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.




You'll create and handle new claims within your agreed authority limits, ensuring Service levels are adhered to.
Pro-actively managing each claim ensuring that the customers expectations are managed with clear communication being provided on how the claims process will work and keeping them well informed throughout the life of the claims.
Work effectively within the team, as well as with colleagues and suppliers to progress the claim to settlement.
Dealing with customers by various correspondence including telephone and email, ensuring that information given is accurately recorded, requesting any additional details to assist with the claim.
Handling claims from first notification though to settlement, dealing with claims payments within agreed authority level.


Ideally you will have experience of working within a Household Claims role, however applicants with claims experience within other sectors may be considered.
