Business Development Manager - Education Sector


Salary: £45k-£50k Basic +​ £5k Car Allowance +​ £30k-£35k Comms +​ Benefits


Location: Home based Role can be located anywhere in South East, Midlands and London


A global IT Services Consultancy and market leading Vendor Reseller.​


Job Summary


To drive profitable growth across a range of Higher Education and Further Education accounts.​ To lead enterprise focused sales through forging strong customer relationships which increase share of wallet and the vendor's footprint within the portfolio.​


Responsibilities


Owns the face-to-face interaction with the customers and is the integration point of our clients relationship with the customer

Delivers agreed gross profit, margin, growth and mix targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Generates, qualifies and closes new business opportunities in 'new logo' and existing accounts

Fosters strong customer relationships through deep and wide customer contacts to grow or clients business

Develops and executes effective sales strategies to drive higher value offerings within target accounts and to provide greater value to customers

Builds relationships with key internal stakeholders across departments including inside sales, marketing, finance, pre sales and bid support

Documents thorough and comprehensive account plans to include account overview, business/​industry drivers, competitive landscape, historical sales data, major sales initiatives/​action plans and key contacts

Regularly monitor opportunity streams from all assigned accounts to ensure consistency with projected profits and forecasts.​ Instigate and follow through on remedial action where appropriate



Requirements


Strong, current track record selling IT products & services to end users

Extensive experience of selling to the public sector via framework agreements, preferably HE & FE

Seasoned external sales professional

Experienced and proficient in working from C level down

Proven experience of building complex customer relationships

Demonstrable track record of achieving personal sales quotas



Desirable


Experience with following vendors are desirable HP, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft and VMware
